Oscar Ratings Fall than last year

Telecast on ABC Sunday, with new hosts and James Franco Anne Hathaway, was down 7 per cent votes in the house year by year.
The 83rd Annual Academy Awards on ABC were down 7 percent from last year's show,in the domestic market valuations measured, according to Nielsen.
Broadcasting posted a 26.5 rating from 8:30 to 23:30 from home to 27.5 last year.
 
Hosted by Anne Hathaway and James Franco (who receive negative reviews fromcritics), the show won top honors The King's Speech. Last year's telecast featured amatch-up between film James Cameron's Avatar, the blockbuster of all time, and ex-wife Kathryn Bigelow, The Hurt Locker.
 
ABC was the first course for the night, more than doubling total of other broadcast networks'.
 
The red carpet special 7-8:30 hours on average a 13.2 household rating.
 
Among the ads targeted 18-49 demographic, the cast was on par with Oscar show lastyear, providing a 14.5 rating.
 
The top five domestic markets were measured in New York (33.9 rating), San Francisco(33.6 rating), Chicago (33.0 rating), Kansas City (32.7 rating) and Boston (32.0 rating) .
